Gilding Workshop
Historically, gold leaf served diverse decorative purposes in art and architecture, adorning manuscripts and books while enriching the visual allure of sculptures and frames. It was frequently applied in gilding techniques on furniture and interiors, representing luxury and prestige. Artisans skillfully utilized gold leaf to craft intricate designs that reflect light beautifully, thereby elevating their artistic creations.
Each workshop can accommodate up to 20 participants, ensuring ample workspace.
Duration: Typically 1-2 hours
Experience a delightful introduction to wellness through the art of Gold Leaf and traditional leaf techniques. Choose from two workshop options:
Workshop One: Frame Design
Create a stunning frame to showcase a 10cm x 15cm photograph of your choice. In an age dominated by digital imagery, there may be a special photo that holds significant value to you.
Select one of several leafs
Prepare the trim by painting it with a warm red hue to enhance the leaf's shine.
Adhere your choice of leaf—silver, white gold, green gold, or traditional gold leaf—to the frame.
Workshop Two: Stencil Leaf Design
Typically lasting 1-2 hours, this workshop focuses on producing a stencil/gold leaf design.
Combo Workshop: 3-4 hours
Engage in a combined experience that begins with creating a stencil/gold leaf design on premium archival materials, such as black, brown, or white aluminum panels. Conclude the course by crafting a gilded frame to display your unique artwork.
